1 John 1:3
“That which we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”
“The Christian experience is not a vague one. It is not indefinite or uncertain. Rather, it is a well defined experience and true Christians know what they have. They are aware of what they possess. They are in no uncertainty themselves as to what has happened to them and to their personal position. ‘We write these things to you,’ says John, ‘that your joy may be full’ and that you may share what we have got. You cannot invite someone to share something with you unless you know exactly what you are asking him to share.
What is our attitude towards men and women about and around us who are not concerned about these things? Who are heedless about them? Have we a sense of compassion towards them? Do we know what it is to feel we will do anything we can in order to make them have what we have got? That is the Christian position. By nature, all who are in Christ have this missionary spirit - this desire for others to have and to share with them the thing that they themselves possess.”
