Thursday Morning
Fay doesn’t seem like it’s moved an inch. It is still sitting just off the coast a little north of Cape Canveral. The light wind and scattered showers continue here. The NOAA update held it at stationary overnight. All the forecast models will have to move it’s track back a day because of this. Had we known this would happen, work probably would have stayed open. Now we’re looking at being closed Friday as well probably once the storm begins moving again.
We went to Cyndi’s grandparents’ just before lunch to see how they were doing. We were able to see some updates on TV. They showed pictures of the beach a little ways south of Jacksonville. The water was just coming in surges onto the beach. The waves were huge. The water was frothy and churning. We considered going out there to have a look ourselves but the radar showed a significant band of yellow headed our way. Mostly it’s a great green mass with scattered yellow splotches covering all of northern Florida.
