Saturday Early Morning
Woke up at my usual work time to go to work. The company advisory phone line advised us that Saturday would be a normal eight hour work day. Actually it will be even longer than that since it’s quarterly closing. We usually work till 7 or 8 for closing. Fay is centered around Tallahassee now. We’re still getting scattered showers that drift through, having spun off from the main tropical storm. I took the interstate route to work not knowing how bad standing water would be.
I’ve seen it bad. One mobile home down Blair had water up to its steps. I saw some people wading knee deep in their front yard. I didn’t want to have to drive through knee deep water.
