Friday Late Evening
The wind and rain is finally dying down as the major banks of rain is passing. Fay is centered now around the curve of the panhandle. Earlier we drove to Cyndi’s grandparents and then to Target. We saw a lot of standing water and a lot of twigs and leaves all over the place. The retention ponds were almost overflowing. I wanted to put a little air in the front tires of the car using Granddad’s air pump. Their backyard was completely flooded though with a few inches of water. I had to use lawn chairs as stepping stones to get to the pump. He just took off his socks and shoes and waded out there to plug it in.
